Wet felting uses soap and water to create strong fabrics that can be shaped into clothing, carpets, bags, hats, and more! This month we will take a break from needle felting and create a felted hat that you can wear during the winter.

The Studios of Cocoa Beach is hosting a felting class “Make a Wool Hat: Wet Felting” taught by Glaucia Romano, on Saturday January 20 from 2 to 5 pm. Learn the basics of felting as you create a beautiful felted wool hat, just in time for cooler weather.
Wet felting uses soap and water to create strong fabrics that can be shaped into clothing, carpets, bags, hats, and more! This month we will take a break from needle felting and create a felted hat that you can wear during the winter.
Your material fee ($25) includes half a pound of wool which you will use to create your hat. Any leftovers are yours to take home. Additionally, the material fee covers accent color wool and other consumable supplies that are needed to finish the hat. Please send your wool color requests to glaucia@ananaprana.com no later than January 13.
Glaucia Romano has a Masters in Art Education and is a certified Art Educator in the state of Florida. She has taught art classes for at least 15 years in the public and private sectors,mostly to kids, but also to adults. She has a wide knowledge of a variety of media and processes and can't wait to share them with you!
Fee for the class is $55 plus the $25 supply fee. Register at the Studios website: www.studiosofcocoabeach.org. The Studios’ workshop room is behind the gallery at 165 Minutemen Causeway in downtown Cocoa Beach. Their gallery is open Monday 9 am to 2 pm, Tuesday to Saturday 9 am to 7 pm and Sundays 1 to 6 pm.
