The Oviedo-Winter Springs Optimist Club

The Oviedo-Winter Springs Optimist Club provides programs, sponsors school-based youth clubs and supports other local service groups within Seminole County and the Oviedo-Winter Springs area.

In local schools, Junior Optimist Octagon International (JOOI) is a dynamic coalition of local youth volunteers. JOOI members make their communities better-one service project at a time.
Our Programs include:

Special Population "Sunshine Dances” (monthly)
Special Population "Sunshine Bowling” (weekly)
Optimist Oratorical Contest (annual)
Optimist Essay Contest (annual)
Optimist Childhood Cancer Campaign (ongoing)
Optimist International Junior Golf Championships (annual)
Respect for Law/Promotion of Non-Violence (annual)
