Simply Savannah

The story behind Simply Savannah:
Hi Everyone! I am so glad you found my page. My name is Rebecca, and I am the face behind Simply Savannah... but there is a much bigger story. My husband Josh and I have been married for 7 years, and we were blessed to welcome our first child, Savannah Joy, into this world on October 9, 2013. Our sweet Savannah was diagnosed with a terminal condition midway through our pregnancy, but my husband and I chose LIFE for her, and we helped her live it to the fullest. Savannah is the namesake and she has taught us through her short life to keep things simple, and take each day as a blessing!

The story behind the nest:
Shortly after we received Savannah's diagnosis a bird had started to build a nest in our tree out front. Every time we saw the mockingbird add another twig to its nest, it felt like God was reminding us of what we had to do: start putting our life back together one piece at a time. Fast forward a few months and the bird theme had become such a strong part of our journey; they serve as our little Savannah reminders. After having Savannah I learned how to make these nest necklaces, and I feel like they are the perfect way to honor our little girl!
