Local Artists Share Visions of the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge

The Visitors Center at the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge offers a wealth of activities: educational displays, a boardwalk, scheduled programs, and even art. The Downtown Art Gallery in Titusville has curated a display featuring the works of three local artists. Award winning photographers Jim Boland, Jeff Thamert and Dale Nichols will display a variety of art works including stunning bird portraits and beautiful landscapes depicting the various habitats that make up the Refuge. Their goal is to document and share their
visions of this amazing environment and it’s wildlife.

The Art will be on display from March 4, 2019 through May 31, 2019 during regular Visitor Center Hours. The Visitor Center is located near Titusville on state road 406, four miles east of the Indian River Lagoon. It is open 9 am to 4 pm daily. Starting in April it will be closed on Sundays.
